Headaches are one of the most common discomforts during pregnancy, however, you can eliminate or relieve those discomforts. Here you will find several tips.
During the first trimester, the woman’s body experiences an increase in hormones and blood volume. These changes can cause headaches more frequently, which is aggravated by stress, poor posture or vision difficulties. Other factors are lack of sleep, low blood sugar, dehydration, and caffeine abstinence.
It is advisable to relieve your headaches by natural medicine and home remedies and avoid at all cost medications such as aspirin or ibuprofen. Please, do not take drugs that other women have recommended. It is preferable to start with home remedies that do not have the potential to harm your health and that of your baby.
First of all, you should assume a good posture, especially during the third quarter. Try to rest and relax; do exercises (walking 30 minutes each day is OK), eat balanced foods and apply cold compresses on the forehead and base of the head; and take a cool shower or warm bath and avoid loud noises as much as possible.
If all these suggestions do not work, then you should discuss the headaches with your doctor. This way you can identify the cause and remedy these annoyances effectively.
